Leo van Lier
Professore presso Il Monterey Institute of International Studies, California e autore di The Ecology and Semiotics of Language Learning.
Con un PhD in Linguistics e un MA in Linguistics for Langugae Teaching, ha insegnato all'Università di Northern Iowa nonché in Gran Bretagna, Peru, Mexico, Scandinavia, Olanda. Attualmente coordina il Certificate in Computer-Assisted Language Learning.  
È autore di The Classroom and the Language Learner, Introducing Language Awareness, Interaction in the Language Curriculum. È co-curatore del Volume 6 dell' Encyclopedia of Language and Education. Ha pubblicato numerosi capitoli e articoli in riviste specializzate come TESOL Quarterly, Applied Linguistics, International Journal of the Sociology of Language, The English Language Teaching Journal, Language Awareness, Le Français dans le Monde, Signos, e Applied Language Learning.
