Teachers

The teachers are all native speakers and hold both a university degree and a diploma in the teaching of their mother tongue as a foreign language. Dilit-International House is also well-known for its Teacher-training Centre (Accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education). Each year more than 50 teacher-trainees obtain their teaching diploma and those with the highest grade are selected to form part of the teaching staff of the school. At present, the school employs 24 teachers who have been teaching in the school for an average of 10 years. All the teachers have a regular work contract. One hour per week of each teacher's contract hours is devoted to professional development. This development is implemented by means of monthly teacher education seminars organised by the Teacher Training Department. This is all reflected by the high level of professionalism and responsibility of the teachers towards the school and all the students.
